Do you believe in the power of dreams?
I do.
I believe that dreams are messages from our subconscious, telling our waking selves messages that are relevant to our life at the time.  I had a dream last night. In the dream I was a cop, and I had a partner with me.  We were driving around in the middle of the night when we saw two people acting suspicious, so we got out to investigate. Somehow, one of the two ran away, and his friend jumped into the patrol car and drove off. I tried shooting him in order to stop hm, and in the dream I could see the bullets hit him in non-vital areas, and he kept driving away. At that point I woke up.

According to this book I have on dream symbols and their meanings, here is what that dream means for me:

The car represents my Self, and obviously I've lost control of my Self. My shooting at the person denotes my attempt at trying to rid myself of an aspect of myself that is no longer necessary, and is obviously causing me to lose control.  The fact that I'm a cop shows that I have the authority and the power to regain control of myself - but in this attempt I failed.

I have a few ideas as to what that really means for me, and I'll be working at regaining control, because in fact I know that there's an area of my life where I have lost control.

Dreams are so much fun. *smile*

This other friend of mine from ICQ, the one who now wants to meet me, has apparently decided that tomorrow is going to be the day. This week looks like a pretty intense week of meeting people via the internet. First there was MissA yesterday, who's organising the meeting on Monday between her girlfriend and I, and now there's this one tomorrow. Fascinating.

We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.
Speak or act with a pure mind and
happiness will follow you as your shadow unshakeable.
