RELAXATION
THE KEY TO GOOD HEALTH

Relaxation is vital to our
physical, social ,and mental and spiritual health. As the Swiss
born Physician Paracelsus once said" health isn't
everything; but without health, everything is nothing"
In our modern lifestyles of highly driven, high tech existences,
we have almost forgotten how to 'relax'.
We rush around from place to place, releasing adrenalin once
reserved for the flight and fight response, and eventually , we
wind up stressed, confused and exhausted. "Relaxation"
has become a term we use to describe TV watching or surfing the
net but is this actually achieving the physical effect of
"returning our systems to equilibrium after displacement
from this state?" (Oxford Dictionary)
The answer is clearly "No".
So how do we relax when relaxation has become impossible? How do
we shut down, tune out, turn off our internal switches? Over the
next few weeks, I will give ways and means of helping you to
relax, to achieve once again a state of harmony for your mind
,body and soul.
